Irresponsbile Internet Companies

I am writing this in response to an article I just read onMsnbc.com (see below) titled "Women accused of pimping girls on Craigslist."  Bascially the article talks about how a 25 year old women was pimping out other girls thru the Craig's List website.  The girls were as young as 14 yars old.  In response, in an e-mail to the Chicago Tribune, Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster said the site prohibits illegal activity and intends its erotic services page for “legal escort services and sensual massage providers.”  This is the biggest crock of bullshit I have ever heard.  When will certain Interenet companies begin taking on some sort of moral obligations and put an end to abeted heinous crimes that are occuring. Prostition in and of it self is not so bad in my opinion, but anytime a child under the age of 18 is involved it is pretty damn serious and basically Craigslist.com was being used for just this.  Jim Buckmaster should be ashamed of himself and the Craigslist.com venture capitalists should really sack up and put an end to this section of the site and any portion of any other stie that enables the breaking of laws...anything from the sale of illegal drugs, to gambling to prostituion, to copyright infringement.
